European Education Summit 2019 to address the challenges of the teaching profession

Ministers, academics and civil servants across Europe will gather for the European Education Summit in Brussels, Belgium, on Thursday 26 September.

The theme is ‘Teachers’ first: excellence and prestige for the European Education Area’. Discussions will explore the role and challenges faced by the teaching profession in the current and future education provision.

The event will also include workshops on ‘The Classroom Experience’ that will explore the use of the new technologies in the classroom.

During the summit, Tibor Navracsics, European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, will present the 2019 Education and Training Monitor. The report is an evaluation of education and training systems across Europe and it contributes. It collects data, technical reports, policy documents and policy measures from the different Member States.
